Under 15 Boys Fight Hard at AFL Junior Cup

AFL Under 15 Boys

Yesterday, our under 15s AFL team went to Exies Oval to compete in the AFL Junior Cup. The team unfortunately didn’t fare too well, but it wasn’t for lack of enthusiasm.

The Murrumbidgee boys lost to Marian, West Wyalong and St Francis. Despite the underwhelming results, there were some diamonds in the rough on the team.

Kaiden Simpson was excellent in the ruck and Owen Robinson took his fair share of marks. Taidgh Sunderlund also made an outstanding debut as the only Year 7 on the team to score a goal.

“It was great to see the boys’ leadership skills, teamwork and perseverance develop through the day,” explains coach Kat Pickering, “There were a lot of Year 7s and 8s on the team, so we’re looking forward to building on this talent for next season.”
