Positive rewards and recognition

At Murrumbidgee Regional High School, we value all students and aim to acknowledge them for their efforts, behaviour and contributions to the school and local community. As such, we’ve developed a number of awards for our students.

Merit System

Students who make an effort in class, represent the school or perform a school or community service will earn merits and house points. These merits are tallied up, and students receive further recognition for their efforts.

  • Students who receive 5 merits in a single category will earn a bronze award and 10 house points.
  • Students who receive 10 merits across 2 categories will receive a silver award and 20 house points.
  • Students who receive 15 merits across 3 categories will receive a gold award and 25 house points.
  • Students who receive 20 merits across 4 categories will receive a framed platinum award, a prize at presentation day and 30 house points.
  • Students who receive 20 merits across 4 categories and have attendance above 90% will receive a framed diamond award, a prize at presentation day and 50 house points.

Reward tokens and the MRHS shop

Students can be issued reward tokens. These are handed out by staff and can be used to purchase items from the Murrumbidgee Shop.

The shop runs every Wednesday at lunchtime. It is stocked with apparel, stationery, and sporting goods. The complete list of items and ticket 'purchase prices' can be found below.
