The 2023 Swimming Carnival will take place on Monday 6 February. The carnival will be a whole school event and all students from Year 7-12 are expected to attend. Students will attend roll call at their home site as normal and will then take a bus to the pool. The buses will return to school at approximately 3pm. The bus fare and pool entry will be FREE. The event is a competitive carnival with some novelty events throughout the day. Students are required to wear either their school uniform or house colours. Students are also reminded to wear appropriate footwear and to be sun safe (bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen). Students are asked to bring their own food and drinks as required. A canteen will be available on the day (menu and prices are included below).

All students will attend their regular roll call sessions in the morning. After that, buses will take them to the Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre. MRHS will be in the outdoor area. Competitive and novelty events will be held in the outdoor pool. MRHS will pay for bus and pool entry. Students will need to bring their own lunch, snacks and drinks or bring money to purchase these from the Aqua Cafe. Students should bring swimming gear (including a towel) and can wear their sports shirts or house colours: Darling - Yellow (surnames A to D) Lachlan - Green (surnames E to K) Macquarie - Blue (surnames L to R) Murray - Red (surnames S to Z) Buses will bring our students back to school around 3:00 pm.
