Year 7 Have Adventure of Lifetime in Narrabeen

Narrabeen

On Tuesday the 9th of May the majority of Year 7 headed to Narrabeen on a long (but exciting) bus ride. With many hugs from families and friends, they waved off the buses from Plane on a Stick at 7am. After a brief lunch stop at 12, we landed at the academy at 4pm and immediately set about our introduction to the camp facilities from the amazing Tash, who quickly showed them the ropes before a healthy dinner and some exhausting evening activities.

Over the 4 days at camp, our 4 groups of students participated in a range of activities like kayaking, surfing, raft building, stand up paddle boarding, archery tag, damper making, and chariot building. The students made a heap of memories and friendships amongst those they were with as they developed their team building and leadership skills, and resilience in overcoming new situations and challenges. The leaders at the camp helped the students to explore new experiences and develop new skills to work as part of a team.
