Three MRHS Netball Teams Progress to Next Round

Three Murrumbidgee netball teams went to compete at the 2023 NSW Schools Cup at Griffith Regional Sports Centre on Monday.

The 7/8 and 9/10 girls and the 9/10 boys played teams from across the region. The 9/10 boys and 9/10 girls teams were even pitched against each other, which was a humbling affair for the boys team.

The performance of all three of the teams will see them progress to the next round in Albury in Term 3. The 7/8 girls team were also, notably, undefeated through the course during the tournament.

“All teams represented the school very well and played some quality netball,” explains netball coach Abbey Campbell.

“There was good sportsmanship from all the kids and they all had a fun day, which is what it’s all about,” adds Coach Maddy Murdoch.
