Student Hamish Ellis went above and beyond for Year 10 Industrial Technology Timber this term. After being tasked with creating a clock, Hamish decided to draw up his own designs, creating a stunning timepiece.
Hamish created templates out of ply for the piece. He sourced his own woods which included jarrah and spotted gum and put it all together using a router into a sophisticated design incorporating a herringbone base.
“Hamish is one of our high-achievers,” explains teacher Dennis Collis, “This project shows him at his full potential. We’re all looking forward to big things from him in the coming years.”
