Year 9 Agriculture have put the traditional practice of stooking hay into action at the farm last week in an attempt to dry out our wheat crop a bit faster..
Students used an automatic hedger to cut the stalks and then tied them in little bunches or stooks. The stooks were then stacked next to each other in a teepee type arrangement to help the wind and sun dry out the heads quicker.
These will be bundled together for hay making in a few weeks' time.
