Congratulations to our Australian Mathematics Competition and Computational and Algorithmic Thinking Competition award recipients!
Run by the Australian Mathematics Trust who who believe maths develops resilience, persistence, confidence and creative thinking in students, the competitions seek to develop mathematical problem solving among Australian students.
The Australian Mathematics Competition is a 30-problem competition that demonstrates the importance and relevance of mathematics in students’ everyday lives. The Computational and Algorithmic Thinking Competition is a problem solving challenge that focuses on many of the mathematical skills that can be applied to coding.
Well done to our students who participated in the competition. Credits were awarded to students who ranked in the top 33% of the state and Distinctions were awarded to students who ranked in the top 18%.
