Today was not only the final day of Term 3 but also Year 12s last day of formal schooling. The celebration was an opportunity for the senior students to blow off a little bit of steam and have some fun before the hard works starts.
Stairs were shrink-wrapped, photos of teachers were plastered on the walls and doors, and year advisors were locked out of cars, but it was all in good fun. Spirits were high among the seniors as they lived it up on the warm spring day.
The students aren’t out of the woods yet, however. With the HSC starting in November, Year 12 will return next term to make up for lessons missed during the lockdown.
Important Dates for Year 12
- Students should continue to attend their scheduled Year 12 classes until Friday 22 October 2021 (End of Week 3 Term 4). Timetabled classes will run with students able to receive feedback from their subject teachers.
- From Monday 25 October 2021 until Monday 8 November 2021, students are not to come to school but may access virtual support from their teachers.
- Higher School Certificate timetables for all students have been released. Students are reminded to log on and check their NESA accounts to view their HSC Exam timetables.
- HSC Examinations begin on Tuesday 9 November 2021. Unless otherwise advised, all HSC examinations will take place on the Griffith site in 2021.
- HSC Examinations end on Friday 3 December 2021.
- At this time, and depending on NSW Health orders, the presentation of major awards, including first in subjects, will be held on Thursday 9 December at the Griffith Regional Theatre (time to be determined). In addition, the Graduation Ball is booked at the Yoogali Club for Friday 10 December 2021. Other events or activities will be determined closer to the end of the examination period.
