Songmaker Second Single Premiere

On Monday's Murrumbidgee Matters, DJ Nau premiered the second of three releases from the Songmakers program. This week’s single was an indie pop piece from Katerina Bertolissi and co-writers Corey Charles and Paige Sergi.

The group wanted to talk about some of the hard times that students and teenagers face. After the lyrics were put together under the guidance of Lily Richardson from the band CLEWS, the students then had the opportunity to develop the melody and chords with Taka Perry. Finally, the group recorded with studio wizard Budjerah.

It was the first time the students had ever recorded and they’d all jump at the opportunity to do it again. Be sure to check out the end product below!
