Year 12 Hospitality Pop Up Coffee Shop

Year 12 Pop Up Cafe

The Year 12 Hospitality pop up coffee shop was in full effect yesterday, with students making the rounds with lattes, mochas, hot chocolates and other tasty treats.

The orders are taken by invite and yesterday it was the school admins’ turn. Students processed the orders which were submitted by email, made the beverages to specification and delivered them to the office where they then collected the money.

Jamie Best, Marcel Zuccato and Jordan Whitworth were the baristas for the day with Jessica Pianui handling the orders. Robert Stephens, Katherine Faalelei and Sophia Robertson were on delivery duty and processed the payments.

“We try to simulate industry standards with our pop up coffee shop.” says Year 12 Hospitality teacher Patrick Lane, “It gives the students a taste of what life is like in food services and brings a bit of joy to the staff of the school.”

The program will continue in the coming months with Year 12 Hospitality offering a dine in café experience in B3.
