Year 7 Learn to Use Bunsen Burners

Recently licensed Bunsen burner users in Year 7 Science put their new qualification to the test when the class was tasked with boiling water.

Students were required to set up a thermometer, gauze, tripod and a Bunsen burner to heat a beaker full of water. Students then had to observe the time taken for the heat to change the temperature of the water.

Though it’s a simple use of the Bunsen burner, the class will move onto more complicated experiments through the term.
