Returning to face-to-face learning

Returning to face-to-face learning at MRHS

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We look forward to welcoming all our students back to school on Monday 25 May 2020.

Please click here to view a document which details for you the plans for students returning to schools next week.

In summary the key points are:

All students are expected to return to school on May 25, unless they are in a risk category. Students will be marked absent if they do not attend.

From May 25 schools are not required to have social distancing in the classroom.

We will resume our normal teaching timetable structure and operations with the following exceptions

  • No assemblies, excursions, camps.
  • No work experience, VET work placement may commence from 1 June for Yr 12 students only.
  • No interschool activities.
  • No volunteers (SRE, reading, coaches etc).
  • No visitors to the school unless they are essential.
  • PE and Sport activities will commence but no contact sport.

Both our canteens will resume normal operations.

We will continue to encourage good hygiene practices for both staff and students.

Cleaning of high touch surfaces will continue for the rest of the term.

We will be providing written reports to parents/students by Week 6 Term 3. They may be completed earlier. These reports will have written comments but not an A-E grade scale.

Once again I would like to thank you for your support over the last two months.

All the best,

Peter King
Executive Principal
